Need: One or two adults per neighborhood should print 20 copies of the auction letter and walk around to businesses in the defined neighborhoods, hand managers/owners the donation letter, and wait for a response. Report the response to Auction Coordinators (brhsptsoauction@gmail.com).

If given a donation, fill out the last page of the donation letter and coordinate drop-off of the donation with our illustrious Finance Officer (treasurer@brhsbba.org), copying the Auction Coordinators.


  • The auction is in March. Many businesses require at least 30 days to organize a donation. It is vital that you start requesting donations immediately.
  • We tried to break the businesses into groups of about ten so no one person was overburdened. However, we got the business names from Google Maps, so it is possible the list is incomplete or out of date. It is recommended that volunteers print 20 copies of the letter to take with them and pass on any changes to business names in a communication the Auction Coordinators.
  • Some of the neighborhoods are quite large. That’s why they are broken up. If you feel you have time to take on a whole area, print extra copies of the donation letter, and go for it. You can always fill out the Sign-Up Genius after you complete it.
